RFS District Officer Brad Collinson said the fire was giving off a large amount of smoke, and causing poor visibility for motorists.
"Temporary road closures are in place to assist fire fighters, who are working on and around the road in poor visibility," he said.
Meanwhile, a fire at Kings Point continues to burn out of control.
Mr Collinson said the southern and eastern borders of the Kings Point fire have been contained, but the northern side remains out of control.
