A Nowra man is facing charges following the investigation into a fatal two-vehicle crash at Coolangatta last October.

Shane Wesley James, 56, has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death, with the matter heard in Nowra Local Court on Monday, May 20 before registrar Kirbie Moore.
The crash happened about 3pm, October 26, when an eight-tonne tanker truck travelling west and a ute travelling east collided on Bolong Road, Coolangatta.
The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 63-year-old man, died at the scene.
James, the sole occupant of the ute, was taken to Wollongong Hospital with leg and abdominal injuries.
The truck was carrying raw sewage which subsequently spilled onto Bolong Road with HAZMAT crews called to the scene to clean-up the biological waste.
Officers from the Southern Crash Investigation Unit investigated the accident.
James will reappear in court in July.
