Silos Estate in Berry hosted a National Simultaneous Storytime event on Wednesday, May 22. The national campaign is now in its 19th year and more young Australians to read books. 'Alpacas with Maracas' by Matt Cosgrove was read at 11am across the country in schools, preschools, libraries and more.
Three-hundred excited Shoalhaven pre-schoolers converged on Silos Estate to meet Shoalhaven emergency service crew, say hello to Gigs and Black Quartz, the alpacas from Millpaca, and enjoy the reading.
Silos owners Rajarshi and Sophie Ray organised the event through Silos Foundation, which supports children's literature and an interest in books.
