Doney-McGregor, 26, was caught drink driving in Huskisson on April 25 around 5.20pm.
Court papers said Doney-McGregor, was driving a black Holden Cruze south on Hawke Street, Huskisson and was seen by police making a quick turn into Bower Street and then Fegen Street.
Police activated lights and sirens and said Doney-McGregor drove for a further 200 metre before stopping at the end of a cul-de-sac.
Officers said he smelt strongly of alcohol and his pupils were fixed and dilated.
He underwent a breath test and returned a positive result before being taken to the new Bay and Basin police station at Sanctuary Point where he returned a breath reading of more than three times the limit, 0.189
Doney-McGregor admitted to police he had drunk eight schooners of beer and had not eaten any food.
He pleaded guilty to high range drink driving, with Nowra Local Court Magistrate Gabriel Fleming fining him $1500, disqualifying him from driving for six months and ordered he have an interlock device fitted to his vehicle for two years.
