Played at Lyrebird Park, the visiting Rock Lobsters won the toss and elected to bat first against the Shoalhaven-based side.
Openers Nathan Tyrrell and Matt Lawrence got the Rock Lobsters off to a flying start, by scoring 54 not out and 47 respectively.
Hand knocks from Pushpinder Singh Jassal (27), Darren O'Connell (25), Wayne Hebert (25) and Paul Marchesi (19) steered the Rock Lobsters to 5/199 from their 20 overs.
With the ball, Scott Fagerlund was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts with 2/19, while Luke Jurancic (1/22), Dylan Higgins (1/28) and Shawn Higgins (1/29) all claimed a scalp.
In reply, openers James Godwin (67) and Fagerlund (26) got their team off to a flyer, before the quick dismissals of Jurancic (one), Tobias Hanger (10), Shawn Higgins (six) and Dylan Higgins (14) left the hosts reeling.
But a quickfire 41 from 14 balls by Michael O'Brien and 19 not out from John Guscott brought their side back into striking distance, before they ran out of balls and ended their innings at 7/184.
Herbert (2/52) and Jassal (2/38) both claimed two wickets each for the Rock Lobsters, while O'Connell (1/30), Marchesi (1/37) and Tyrrell (1/38) chipped in with one scalp each in the win.
Both the Rock Lobsters and Hi-Flyers, which features Shawn and Dylan Higgins, Fagerlund, Jurancic, O'Brien, Guscott, Hanger, Godwin, Zac Henstock and Mark Biggs, will now continue to prepare for their assault on Gold Coast's national titles in September.
