"Work on and around new temporary lanes to the east of the existing highway between Strongs Road and O'Keeffes Lane will take place between 8pm and 5am, excluding weekend nights," a spokesperson said.
"The work will involve widening the existing road, asphalting, line marking and installation of barriers to guide motorists onto the new route.
"Barrier installation between Lamonds Lane and Meroo Road will also be done at night during the same period."
The work may affect travel times.
The RMS asked drivers to keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllers' directions, and thanked drivers in advance for their patience.
