The win was the Lions' third straight and gives them a sense of momentum as they go into to a three-week period where they face Albion-Park Oak Flats, Nowra-Bomaderry and reigning premiers Shellharbour.
For the Stingrays, it was their second straight loss conceding at least 60 points following a big loss to Kiama in round five.
It was the home side who opened the scoring when back-rower Alex Whalley pounced on a grubber from Aaron Merrick in the opening minutes.
Merrick converted for a 6-nil lead much to the delight of the Stingrays faithful.
It took Gerringong a little while longer to work into the game than many may have thought, but once they did points came at regular intervals.
Lock Jake Taylor was the first Lion to cross after reeling in a Rixon Russell offload.
Front-rower Dylan Arnold the crashed over next to the posts soon after and Taylors' conversion had the Lions up 10-6.
Matt Winchester then found his way over thanks to his trademark show and go, before a ball out the back from Taylor sent fullback Joel Roberts over.
Taylor's second conversion put the score out to 20-6.
All but Arnold's try had come through the Lions' left edge and that continued as they ran in another two tries before the break.
Matt Winchester sent Joel Doosey over out wide, before the Gerringong centre used his trademark show and go to cross himself.
Two more conversions from Taylor gave the Lions a 32-6 lead at half-time.
The break did little to slow the Lions down as they continued to pour on the points after the break.
Some clever work Nathan Ford and Corey Mulhall sent Roberts over under the posts for his second in the opening stages of the half, before some slick hands in the backline sent Doosey over again.
Roberts then crashed over for his third from close range off a deft pass from Isaac Russell.
The Gerringong utility then danced around the defence close to the line for a try of his own and two more conversion from Taylor had the score balloon out to 54-6.
The Lions weren't done just yet and continued to exploit the Stingrays' right edge for two long range tries.
Doosey streaked away for his third, before rangy backrower Jordan Chandler did the same to get in on the scoring and another conversion from Taylor rounded out the score at 64-6.
In a lopsided affair the Lions' best were Taylor, Roberts and Judd Collyer, while Merrick, Whalley and Will Homer gave their all for the Stingrays.
