The 13th Annual Berry Celtic Festival will get underway at the Berry Showground on Saturday, May 25.
The festival will highlight the Celtic nation of Ireland.
Heavily armored noble knights on horseback galloping at each other with lances poised will be just one of the highlights of the festival.
Along with a day full of entertainment, there will be various workshops for Irish dancing, traditional tunes for kids, Gaelic singing, instrumental sessions, along with country dance.
Highland Pipe Bands with bagpipes and drummers will sound out throughout Berry, along with members of the various Clans in their distinctive kilts.
Heavily armored noble knights on horseback galloping at each other with lances poised will be just one of the highlights of the festival.
It all starts with the grand street parade through Berry at 9.30am marching toward the Berry Showground for a day full of entertainment. The parade will include representatives of all Clans, and Scottish Terrier dogs, of course.
If you've still got plenty of energy, you can dance the night away at the Berry Celtic Festival Dance at the Berry Showground pavilion.
The pavilion will be decked out in Celtic splendour for a fun evening of simple country dances. Traditional tunes will be played by popular band 'No Such Thing' with all dances called by Sally Leslie.
A light supper will be served mid-evening. Dress for dancing comfort with a heritage twist - there will be prizes for best Celtic style. The event will get underway at 7pm and will wrap up at 10.30pm. Pre-order $10 tickets for the dance at eventbrite.com.au
Entry to the showground is $10 for adults, and children under 15 years are free.
