Scott Balsar and his squad, who sit 5-5 on the season following last weekend's double defeat on the road, will welcome guard Josh Watts back into the team - who has just finished his freshman season at Caslteton University.
On top of Watts, who will add passing and shooting to the Tigers line-up, the black and gold are excited to have New York product Olu Sowunmi in their line-up for the 2019 Waratah League season.
And although both technically suited up for last weekend's double-header, both had just completed 23-hours of travel and didn't see much time on court.
But that will all change this Saturday, when the Cubs host league leader Central Coast from 6pm at the Den - which excites 20-year-old Sowunmi.
"As soon as Josh and I took the court together in Vermont, we hit it off and haven't looked back," Sowunmi said.
"Unfortunately I missed a large part of the season with a broken foot but in a way to continue to regain my strength and speed, Josh invited back to Australia to play with the Tigers in the college off-season.
"It all happened really quickly and now I'm here to try and help the Tigers as best I can - I'm hoping to bring intensity on both ends of the court, particularly on defence."
Differently to his Castleton team mate, 19-year-old Watts is hoping to build on his freshman season in the US in his second stint with the Cubs.
"When I first got to the US, it was tough adjusting to the college lifestyle as well as the way they play hoops - their game is a lot faster and involves more individual play," Watts said.
"At first it was hard staying with quicker and faster guys on defence but once I adjusted to how I closed out on certain players, depending on the scout, I started to feel a lot more confident on the court.
"Overall, I think I exceeded my expectations as a freshmen because it's usually rare to earn quality minutes in your first year but after Christmas, following my continued hard work, I started to get quality minutes, which led to me starting my first ever game in the second last match of the season - it's been a great learning experience for me thus far."
Guard Watts, who believes his vision and shooting have improved since he last pulled on the Tigers jersey, is hoping to lead Balsar's side back to the play-offs.
"I'm really excited to have Olu here with me and I think our continuity of playing together at Castleton is only going to help our Tigers team achieve our goals for the rest of the season," he said.
