President of the Huskisson and Jervis Bay Food Network Inc, Di Laver said the aim of the annual dinner was to get as many of the Shoalhaven's 70 plus chefs together under the one roof at the one time along with local producers.

"Chefs and producers are both notoriously short for time. We just see this as a way to get them all together and provide a chance to network.
"It provides chefs with the opportunity to see the calibre of produce that is being produced locally and meet the producers, who really are local heroes.
"We have such a wide array of local producers who are doing some amazing things across a variety of different fields.
"The region really is quite amazing.
"One of our objectives is to identify the Shoalhaven 12 months of the year as a good, ethical food destination."
Each of the chefs has developed two dishes for the six-course degustation dinner which are being matched with locally produced wines.
Mrs Laver said this year's featured chefs all come with impressive credentials.
"Nick was sous chef at the highly acclaimed Tetsuya's Restaurant in Sydney, Matt has worked with Australian cook, food author, restaurateur, and food manufacturer Maggie Beer, while Brent is a TAFE NSW Nowra commercial cookery graduate who received the Barrington Raymund Roberts Memorial Award and the Damien Martin Prize for the most outstanding student in Certificate III Commercial Cookery.
He has also worked with Nick.
"All three are among some of the Shoalhaven's best kept secrets and have a wide variety of experiences and skills."
The degustation will be held next Tuesday, May 21 at the Nowra Golf Club.
The event starts at 3pm with the producers' showcase where they will have their local wares on display until 5.30pm, followed by canapes and then dinner.
The event is only open to local chefs, producers or hospitality owners.
Limited tickets are still available at $100 each from the Bomaderry Bowling Club on 4421 2733.
