After a night out, Jasmine and her roommate arrived home to find another housemate's friend sleeping soundly in their Bomaderry loungeroom.
The stranger proved to be very polite and friendly though, and he and Jasmine struck up a friendship.
Six years later on Monday, April 8, that friendly stranger, John Gould, and Jasmine, tied the knot at Wildwood in Kangaroo Valley.
They were joined by 65 of their family and friends, including a very special guest.
"We'll be welcoming our first baby in the first week of October," Jasmine said.
Their baby's gender was revealed at the couple's reception, although a clue had been right in front of their guests.
"John thanked everyone and then announced that his pink tie should be the giveaway that we're having a little girl," Jasmine said.
"It was a really special moment, especially when I saw my dad looking a little teary and so excited."
Jasmine was joined by bridesmaids Dekara McEvoy, Shannen Perry, Taylor James, and her sister Erin Simpson. Groomsmen were Adam, Dale, Matt and Darby.
Jasmine walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love.'
She said their ceremony was "simple and beautiful" and thanked Cathryn Philpott for her support.
"We were both extremely nervous but Cath was just brilliant and really helped us in that moment," Jasmine said.
The party continued on at Wildwood where Jasmine has left her touch for the next person to be married at the beautiful location.
"They have a shed there where you can leave decorations for the next person which is really nice and the owner Toni was fantastic. We had extra burgers at the end and she even wrapped them all, along with the donuts, for each of our guests to take home," Jasmine said.
While she said the entire night was "magical", Jasmine said seeing her grandfather enjoying a night out from his residence at a Nowra East nursing home and dancing with her grandmother was definitely a highlight.
A close second was the impressive effort put forward by her bridesmaid Taylor James in the bouquet toss.
"Taylor did the best leap for that bouquet - there was no-one getting in her way," Jasmine said.
"We lived with her and her partner for four years and we're hoping they're next!"
Jasmine and John have recently returned from their honeymoon to America, where they road-tripped through Houston, Texas, New Mexico Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
