SUAVE (SoUth American eVEnts) Productions is a local organisation whose main objective is the promotion and celebration of Latin-American cultures in the Shoalhaven.
SUAVE was created by Patricia Opazo Blanco and Raul Arregui in 2017, and we have organised three events in Bomaderry for the local community with more than 200 people attending each event.
SUAVE is proud to present Latin Power Band for its fourth Latin dance party at the Bomaderry RSL on Saturday, June 1 from 6pm.
Latin Power is the creation of two highly talented South American musicians - Marcelo Stafurik from Argentina on the keyboard and guitar and Juan Torres from Colombia vocals and percussion.
The band is a quartet, and it is completed with another two amazing musicians: Gary Friedrich on the timbales and Sergio Lloret on the congas and bongos.
Latin Power starts performing from 7pm and they have been appearing in top class venues around the Sydney area for more than 16 years.
So get ready for a night of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia, Cha-Cha, Reggaeton and much more.
SUAVE, on the night, will also raise funds to help Dr Ignacio Pirovano's school for intellectually disabled children, based in Godoy Cruz, Mendoza (Argentina).
The school is located in a highly socially disadvantaged area of Godoy Cruz, Mendoza, Argentina, called "Campo Pappa".
Their students come from families in that area with serious socio-cultural problems, low economic resources and high social adaptation issues.
Most children have intellectual disabilities in many cases, this disability is related to impoverishment, low stimuli, malnutrition and others.
A large number of children come to the school after failing in the general school, because of the reasons previously listed.
One of the goals of the leadership of the Dr Ignacio Pirovano school is to create a space for children to read; a library which invites them to be in it, with comfortable seating, easily reachable books, and that children can access from early ages.
They hope that the environment could also become a safe playroom, with many different toys for all ages.
A total of $5 from each ticket sold will be donated to the school to set up their first Library Chill-out space.
Tickets are available online at SouthCoastTickets.com.au, Gallery 7 in Nowra or Berry Music Centre in Berry and are only $20 per person.
