Patrick Michael Dunning, 47, pleaded guilty in Nowra Local Court on Monday, May 13 to high range drink driving, diving with a child unrestrained as a passenger, driving with an expired licence and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
Court papers said Dunning was spotted by police driving a Toyota Starlet west on Junction Street in Nowra around 11.30pm on March 8.
Police pulled the car over for a random breath test and discovered a female passenger sitting in the rear of the vehicle with a six-month-old child hiding, unrestrained, under a blanket.
Police also discovered Dunning's licence had expired two days previously, while his vehicle had run out of registration on December 25 last year and therefore was also uninsured.
Dunning admitted to police he knew about those offences.
Police said Dunning smelt of intoxicating liquor and had him undertake a breath test which returned a reading more than three times the limit, 0.154.
He will return to court on May 27.
