John Sharp, the first member for Gilmore, was a member of the National Party and a minister in the Howard Government. He represented Gilmore from 1984 to 1993.
He was followed by Labor's Peter Knott (deceased), from 1993 to 1996. He was defeated by Liberal Joanna Gash who held the seat from 1996 to 2013, then Liberal Ann Sudmalis, who has announced her retirement.
The three living former federal members for Gilmore will all support Nationals candidate Katrina Hodgkinson in the upcoming election.
Mr Sharp, Ms Gash and Ms Sudamalis endorsed the former NSW Minister at Ms Hodgkinson's campaign office on Tuesday.
Katrina Hodgkinson is the former NSW Minister for Primary Industries and Small Business and has represented communities in southern NSW for more than 18 years.
