The 2019 Australian Athletics Championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre on April 1-7, with four athletes from Nowra Athletics Club competing with great success.

Ella Dyball earned herself a 13sec PB in the U16 steeplechase, finishing 10th in a time of 7.42.61.
This was an impressive performance with her backing up from the 3000m the day before where she finished 20th in a time of 11.10.49.
Dyball's brother Will competed in the U15 800m clocking a season PB but unfortunately he was ruled to have trodden on the bend lane line and was officially given a DQ by the track referee.
Alexis Charalambous also competed in the U16 3000m alongside training partner Ella. Alexis was close on Ella's heels to finish 21st in a time of 11.10.65.
Lauren Percival competed in the Under 16 100m placing 7th in the final in 12.78. Lauren also competed in the 200m where she placed 3rd in her heat clocking 25.62.
In addition Lauren led the under 16 4 x 100m relay team for a gold medal for NSW.
