Last week saw perfect weather for Riverwatch Shoalhaven's three days at Riversdale.
The team covered and constructed 180 metres of sand sausage and planted 60 Lomandras on the banks as a trial site.
If this is successful, they will continue this method further along the bank.
At the next working bees, they will be planting long-stemmed Casuarinas at Bamarang at Barbara Maver's property. This will be the last major working bee for this season, before the winter break.
Everyone is invited to join in on April 29 and 30. Start time is 9am.
It will be held at 190 Bamarang Road, Bamarang (follow the signs off Yalwal Road) Bring a hat, gloves, drink bottle, wear long trousers as tree planting requires kneeling.
A barbecue lunch will follow each day. For more information call Peter Jirgens on 0488 460 011.
