A large variety of birds were on offer and people were able to buy direct from the breeder.
Bird sales and shows are an important aspect of aviculture, and all profits raised were distributed within the community.
On Thursday, April 11 five members went along to Bunnings for their Easter promotion.
This was well represented with a variety of exhibitions. Shoalhaven Beekeepers, Nowra Mens Shed, the CWA and the South Coast Veterans Motorcycle Club were also present, just to name a few.
Each of the members took a variety of birds: Murray the Major Mitchell was the star attraction, he kept everyone entertained with his calling hellos and dancing to the tune of the Salvation Army Band.
It was a good night with lots of things for the kids to do, Easter hats were made and a jumping castle was very popular.
Next months guest speaker is Mr Bill Boyd and will give a talk on Swift and Golden Shoulder Parrots. Anyone interest in coming along please ring club president Ray Faulds on 44234475
