Played at Camden, Paul Connor's Shoals went down 34-12 to the Rams.
Shoals didn't fare much better in the lower grades, as second grade were smashed 38-5 to the Rams, while thirds were held scoreless, going down 28-nil to the same opponent.
The Vincentia Van Goghs had the bye in round two.
Other first grade results this round saw Vikings defeat Campbelltown 53-13, University of Wollongong smashed Tech Tahs 41-13, Avondale edged Shamrocks 39-23 and Bowral thumped Kiama 52-19.
Looking ahead, after the Easter break, Shoals' first and second grades sides will return to Rugby Park on Saturday, April 27 to host Tech Tahs - with third grade having the bye.
The Van Goghs also play Tech Tahs next round at Vincentia.
