U3A Shoalhaven is gearing up to begin the term two program.
This program, as always, is run by volunteers who are on a shared journey of discovery with members.
Topics are diverse and can be physically or intellectually stimulating - and always social.
Among several art courses are mosaics, a self-help group, classes with experienced tutors and an excursion to Bundanon featuring 'ink wash'.
History lectures are conducted at Culburra Beach, Vincentia and Nowra with popular presenter, Lloyd Pitcher.
The 'Let's Do Lunch' club meets fortnightly on a 'home and away' basis at restaurants in Nowra and out of town.
Languages, Science, Technology, Movies and Opera are on this term's program, as well as Philosophy, Meditation and several courses related to health and other active pursuits.
There is a writing course and great sessions of mental activities, created especially for U3A, called Keeping the Marbles Rolling.
Term two is from Monday, May 6 to Friday, June 29. Membership is $10 a year plus a modest fee for each session or course.
Most courses are at 48 Berry Street, Nowra, usually for two hours, mornings and afternoons on weekdays.
The full program and information about membership and enrolment are available now at www.shoalhaven.u3anet.org.au, Shoalhaven Library, or U3A Shoalhaven 4/48 Berry St, Nowra, (opposite the Roxy Theatre.)
