Saturday's dominant win was set up by tries to Brandon Wright, Sam Watts, Tom Horton and Duncan Maddinson, with Mark Brandon landing all four conversions plus one penalty goal.
"It was a better team performance than we have had all of last year," Shoals skipper Steven Brandon said.
"Our structures from last year are really starting to work - in particular our forwards did a great job setting the platform for us.
"On the flip side, our defence was very strong, which saw us keep them scoreless."
While happy with all of his squad, Brandon single out a number of standouts in Saturday's win.
"All the forwards were great but I think Tom Horton had one of his best games I've seen him play," he said.
"Our new recruit Brandon "Texas" Wright played a great game and was a standout, as was Matt Spresser, who did a great job at the line-out."
Next up for Shoals is a trip to Camden.
"Obviously the round one win was great but we are taking it one game at a time and not getting ahead of ourselves," Brandon said.
"Everyone in the competition is a threat and we just need to execute our game plan - if we do that, I know we are good enough to match any team."
In reserve grade, Shoals went down 15-12 to Campbelltown while their third grade went down to the Wollondilly White Waratahs 17-10 - as the Vincentia Van Goghs defeated the Harlequins 28-nil.
