A bright and positive Harmony Day was held recently at the Nowra Library and many people took part in the event which was hosted by the Shoalhaven Multicultural Group [SMG].
Harmony Day is about reaching out to the community and coming together to celebrate the cultural diversity especially where there is no services for migrants and refugees.
It was also a chance for the SMG members to thank two recently retired dedicated community workers, Andrew Krisoffersen and Judith Reardon, for their support
The group also thanked Federal Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis, who will soon retire from politics, for her support.
In the past three years, SMG and Shoalhaven Neighbourhood Services as well as local community groups have become the ones who support its community and reach out to people at the grass root level because there is no support services here even though the funding is here.
