The Tom Smith Cup, a carnival which signifies the first bounce of a new season, was played.
All teams, given its still early days, played some great matches and the coaches would have been pleased with how their players went.
Both the women's and men's took part in the competition.
The likes of Nowra-Albatross, Kiama, Shellharbour and Dapto, in the men's, went head-to-head in a round robin competition from 9am.
Reigning women's premiers Bomaderry was one of the teams to beat, in the afternoon, and they were up against the likes of Nowra-Albatross Vikings, Kiama Power and the Shellharbour Suns.
The teams, after this hit-out, will have a better idea on how they are placed for when the main competition kicks off.
The season proper is not too far away and the season kicks off on April 6 and the players and their fans can't wait.
