The Pride of Bomaderry group is committed to improving the physical environment of Bomaderry, as well as strengthening community ties.
As part of that push, the group has commissioned a number of public artworks for the suburb.
The latest work was painted by local artist, Dr Gillian Rhys. The group celebrated the mural's completion on Saturday, March 16, with an informal community gathering.
The mural depicts Bomaderry as it would have been before development - rolling grasslands filled with cattle and corellas.
Dr Rhys said, love it or loathe it, public art brought the community together.
"We always reflect ourselves through art, and when it's in public, it's right there for people to see and critique," she said.
"Like or not like, it always sparks conversation as well as bringing a bit of brightness."
