Police allege a 17-year-old involved in a two-car accident on the corner of the Princes Highway and Plunkett Street in Nowra on Monday night tested positive for alcohol.

A police spokesperson said both cars were heading south at the time of the accident.
"A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male pulled out of its line of traffic without checking mirrors, and collided with another car travelling south in an adjacent lane," the spokesperson alleged.
"The 17-year-old returned a positive breath test, and was taken back to the police station. Analysis at the police station showed the presence of alcohol."
He has been issued with a court attendance notice to appear in Nowra Local Court at a later date.
Police said the driver of the other vehicle returned a negative breath test.
