Kevin Mundy is an indigenous man of many talents.
Being born with cerebral palsy presented many challenges to be overcome, however with the help of family and his Wreck Bay community, Kevin is soaring high.
From early life in a walking frame he is now an integral part of the success of the Wreck Bay Bears, running water bottles to the players on the field with the grace of a gazelle.
With the assistance provided by the NDIS, Kevin has secured three days employment within the Booderee National Park, creates artwork with Woollamia artist Randall Sinnamon two days a week, and does a workout at the gym on Friday afternoons.
Kevin met Randall during his participation in a post school transition to work program 11 years ago where they shared their interest in art. He can now tick off 'hold art exhibition' from his to-do list.
Kevin's artwork is on display, along with fellow artist Shaun Prince, at The People's Gallery in the Woollamia Industrial Estate.

The exhibition 'Two Doors' officially opened last Friday and will run until March 28. Shaun commended Kevin on his work.
"I've known Kevin for a few years and his artwork is fantastic," he said.
"It's built his confidence in lots of ways."
Shaun said he too has used art to help him throughout his life.
"I got into art for therapy for my mental health. I think I've done it all my life but I slip in and out of it," he said.
"I'll find that all of a sudden something's flowing and you work for a week straight and all you want to be doing is painting."
Shaun said while Kevin's artwork features detailed, Aboriginal stories, his own tends to be more abstract and "all over the shop".
The People's Gallery is open between 9am-4pm from Monday to Friday and weekends from 10am-4pm.
Both Shaun and Kevin will be visiting the gallery on the weekend to continue their painting and would welcome a chat with visitors.
The People's Gallery is located at Unit 6/5 Snapper Road Wollamia Industrial Estate. For more information see shoalhavenfineartandframing.com
