The next two workshops will be hosted on Thursday, March 21 from 5.30pm at Ulladulla High School and on Saturday, March 23 at Huskisson Public School from 10.30pm

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley said these Council supported programs help to make the region a safe and connected place to live.

"The reality of the Shoalhaven is that many of our young people need to learn to drive and parents, grandparents and other mentors play a vital role in providing young drivers with the experience they need to be safe on the roads," Cr Findley said.

"This course has been developed to help them teach with confidence so they can help learner drivers be safe on the road.

"The two-hour workshop includes information about the licence conditions for learner and P plate drivers, practical advice on supervision, tips for using the learner driver log book and the importance of providing constructive feedback.

"Parents and supervisors who have attended the course found it boosted their confidence and helped them better plan driving lessons, whilst also giving them the opportunity to share their experiences with other parents and supervisors."
