AFTER a long off-season, Shoalhaven footballers will finally get a taste of some competitive action this Sunday, as the Shoalhaven Heads-Berry Sharks host the annual Henk Ruyg Cup.

The round-robin day at Vic Zealand Oval will see the 10 men's sides split into two pools of five, meaning they each play four 30-minute matches before finals.
While on the women's side of the draw, the eight teams are in two pools of four - resulting in three round games each.
In both instances, the top two sides from each pool will progress into the semi-finals, keeping alive their chances of a berth in the decider.
The day will kick-off at 8.30am, with men's matches between Heads Maroon vs St Georges Basin, Culburra vs Bomaderry and Illaroo vs Shoalhaven United - with the men's final the last match of the day at 2.40pm.
Other men's teams on the day will include Milton, Callala, Huskisson and Heads Blue, while the women's teams competing are Heads Blue, Basin, Illaroo Green, Callala, Heads Maroon, Illaroo Red, Huskisson and Culburra.
Bomaderry (men) and Heads (women) are the reigning champions of their respective competitions.
