Our story about Bunnings South Nowra relocating from its present site into that of its former competitor Masters certainly attracted lots of attention.
Bunnings has confirmed it will open a temporary store behind Hungry Jacks and the Shell Fuel Coles Express convenience store and a Subway outlet.
Speculation where the hardware giant would move to has been rife ever since Bunnings lodged a $27.8 million development application for a new complex with Shoalhaven City Council in June last year.
The proposal will see the complex’s footprint grow by almost two and a half times its current size.
The new temporary Bunnings’ store is expected to open in May.
There had been rumours as to what business could fill the former, unopened Masters’ site, with the likes of Super Amart Furniture, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and Anaconda all linked with the complex.
Of course, our article again saw the calls for a Big W to be built in the Shoalhaven.
Which leads us to ask what retailing options would you like to see in the Shoalhaven?
