The hosts won the toss on day one and chose to bat first, reaching 145 before being all out in the 30th over.
Adam Watson and Joshua Fernie top scored for Nowra with 37 and 22 respectively, while Dre Howlett took 3/20 for Basin.
Dave Woods (2/16), Luke Harding (2/23) and Dave Foley (2/47) all claimed two wickets each for the Dolphins.

At Ray Aboud Oval, after being sent in, North Nowra-Cambewarra were all out for 83 thanks to 5/34 from Michael Blattner and 2/7 from Gary Evans.
In response, Bomaderry have already secured first innings points, reaching 4/189 at stumps on day one.
Leading the way with the willow were Brad Barnes (80 not out) and Mark Pritchard (55) while Angus Lowbridge took 2/39 for Norths.
The final match at the Thompson Street Sporting Complex saw Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens (75) just claim first innings points against Sussex Inlet (68).
The bowlers were the stars of the day with Ex-Servos' John Guscott (4/16) and Sussex's Stephen Jones (6/19) both excelling with the red ball.
