A group of Shoalhaven Little Athletic Club members recently took part in the regional championships in Griffith.
Emily McLaren was one of the many athletes who did well in Griffith.
Emily broke the under 11s javelin with a throw of 18.94m and the old record was 18.80m.
All the local athletes did well and impressed in Griffith.
A strong local contingent will compete at state event from March 16-17 at Sydney Olympic Park.
The team is: Ella Dyball, Will Dyball, Zoe Chater, Nathan Groves, Max Beck, Talea Miller, Toby Dyball, Taj Barrett, Kynan Miller, Mamish McLaren, Akala Miller, Brock Miller, Amarli Robinson, Myra Betts, Jasmin Wheeler, Evie Hill, Joel Harlor, Emily McLaren, Dean Austin and Emelia Mathews.
Registrations for the next Little Athletics season open in August this year.
