On Wednesday, Cr White, also a Liberal Party member, was elated state representatives from her party had pledged $960 million to fixing the Princes Highway south of Nowra.
"Congratulations to your team, without the South Coast Register and the Bay Post it wouldn't have happened," she said.
"Thanks for all your support and involving me with it.
"These upgrades will make a huge difference to everyone who drives on the highway every day.
"It needs to be a bipartisan commitment, Labor must acknowledge it is a dangerous stretch of highway."
