The groups have come together to raise funds for the paediatrics unit at the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital - but equipment doesn't come cheap.
"All the equipment is in the range of $8-10,000, so it's quite expensive," said auxiliary secretary Donna Swan.
The group works towards items on a wish list provided by the hospital, for items such as monitors.
The choir was inspired to get on board as part of their community work.
"Part of our ethos has always been to do community fundraising," said director Sue Hammond-Warne.
We thought the Shoalhaven Hospital would be a worthy cause so we came on board with the lovely ladies of Greenwell Point Hospital Auxiliary and we've joined forces to have a big gala dinner in September.
"We really wanted to use this venue (Nowra Golf Club), because it's beautiful, so we thought we would do one big event, instead of lots of little events to raise money."
The gala will be held in September, and includes a three-course dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions. Any contributions to the auctions are welcomed. Entertainment includes Chris Lincoln, Katie Halliday, Dr Michael Brown, and some surprises.
Sponsors include Bendigo Bank, the Archer Hotel and North Nowra Medical Practice. Additional sponsors are also welcome.
Tickets may be booked individually, or for tables of eight to ten. Tickets are $60 per head, and available at trybooking.com.
