It looks as though many roads in the Shoalhaven badly need attention and local residents want them to be fixed.

Currarong residents are currently battling to get something done to finally fix their road and are furious the $1.45 million they had for the repair the surface is now in limbo.
Currarong Road is an accident waiting to happen and there are plenty of other nominations for the worst road in the Shoalhaven.
The South Coast Register asked people to nominate the worst roads in the Shoalhaven and got heaps of comments.
“The roads out towards Pyree/Terara/Culburra and Currarong are definitely the worst. That whole region needs doing,” a resident said.
“Lyndhurst Drive has got more potholes than a dirt road,” another resident added.
The Wool Road, Larma Road Sanctuary Point, The Park Drive in Sanctuary Point, Hillcrest Avenue, Meroo Road and others all made the list
However, it’s hard to go past the narrow and dangerous Currarong Road.

Many other people agree that Currarong Road needs work.
“Super dangerous with caravans out there. Don’t know how it’s still 100kms there heading into Currarong and feels very uneasy,” one resident said
“The speed limit should definitely be lower on that road,” another added.
“A mate of mine drove to Perth and back said Currarong Road was the worst,” was another strong comment.
State Member for the South Coast, Shelley Hancock, met with the residents on Saturday - let’s hope she drives back with good news.
