The Red Hat Society is made up of groups of women who get together to have fun, share experiences and provide an outlet for women to connect with others and form new friendships.
The Diamond Dazzlers and was formed in 2016, and 'queen' of the group, Robyn Eggins said it was a space for women to make friends with similar interests.
“Women who are or planning to retire or move into a new area often look to start a new life and form new friendships, which isn’t always easy to do," she said.
The benefits of being in this social group is there are no strict rules and by-laws, it is designed to be for social activities with no formal calendar event.
You need to be a woman of 50 or over and attend functions in a red hat and purple outfit. Women under 50 are also welcome but wear a pink hat and a lavender outfit.
The Diamond Dazzlers meet the first Wednesday of each month at Berry Bowling Club at 12pm for lunch and an informal get together.
The Diamond Dazzlers also meet each third Wednesday for a social outing. These outings are discussed and decided on a monthly basis. Most outings involve a meal or coffee and opportunities to chat, laugh and enjoy each other’s company. This is done while wearing the signature purple outfit and red hat or headgear that distinguishes this unique women’s organisation.
If you are looking to meet new people, share time and experiences and form friendships, the Diamond Dazzlers group would love the opportunity to meet you and welcome you to the group.
