The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast top temperatures of 35 at Nowra, 33 at Ulladulla and 36 at Kiama on Tuesday.
The high temps, combined with winds of up to 50km/h have prompted the Rural Fire Service to issue a statewide total fire ban.
In the Shoalhaven region the fire danger has been lifted to ‘severe’. Residents are reminded that all fire permits are suspended during total fire bans and no fires may be lit in the open.
The hot weather follows an epic night of storm on Friday, February 8, which caused flash flooding and damage to shops and homes across the region.
The South Coast won’t feel any relief until late evening, with a cool change expected to hot later this evening.
