THE GWS Fury have unveiled their athletes for the upcoming 2019 season, which will mark the club’s fourth in the Netball NSW Premier League competition.
Once again in 2019, the Fury will have three teams competing on court, including; premier league opens, Dooleys metro league division two and premier league under 23s – with the latter featuring Sanctuary Point’s Elecia Parrott.
General manager of the foundation franchise, Rachael Sutton, believes that the strength of Fury is the growing program, supporter base and association support for the franchise.
“Fury is about giving young women the opportunity to excel on and off the court, with a really broad range of skills and support within our program,” Sutton said.
"The Fury franchise is about performance, but our focus has always been about whole person – enabling young women to grow as a player and as a person – developing a range of skills with a view to their high performance success in the Netball NSW pathway.
“We believe that our coaching staff, medical team and strength and conditioning team are all of the highest calibre – great at their roles and great people.”
In 2019, the Fury welcomes 16 new athletes to the franchise to join the 17 returning athletes (which includes Parrott), across the three sides.
