There’ll be all the much-loved favourites, along with some new additions set to keep the whole family happy.
Friday, February 8
Gates open at 8am so head to the Nowra Showground early to make sure you pack as much in as possible.
The main area will showcase the region’s best riders from 8am and the cattle arena will start with the Holseins and Illawarras. The cattle arena will finish up at around 12.30pm.
Take a wander through the pavilion from 9.30am and admire all the arts, crafts, amazing baking creations, stunning floral arrangements and delcious baked goods on display.
At 5pm it’s time to head to the woodchop arena and at 6.30pm the very first Young Farmers Challenge will be ready to roll. Hay bales will fly, adrenaline will be high and our young farmers will vie for a spot in the regional finals at Sydney Royal in April.
Have you got a dog that can scale any fence and considers themselves the Houdini of the dog world? Enter them in the dog jump to be held at 7.30pm. Entries can be taken at the secretary’s office up until 7pm.
As part of his ‘Speak Up Tour’, multiple Golden Guitar winner Tom Curtain will bring his award winning outback show with the horses and dogs to the 2019 Nowra Show.
Tom is an ambassador for Dolly’s Dream and an advocate for mental health in the bush. Don’t miss his show from 8pm.
The popular rodeo is also set to make a spectacular return this year. Hold on to your seats and watch all the thrills and spills form 8.30pm.
Gates close at 10pm.
Saturday, February 9
Prepare to catch all the favourites again on Saturday and at 5pm the popular RFS chainsaw display will roar to life, followed by the deafening action of the monster trucks.
The main arena will be the place to be in Nowra on Saturday night, with action starting at 6pm.
The Nowra Showgirl presentation will be held at 7pm, followed by the Nowra Show’s inaugural demolition derby and monster truck mayhem.
Sit back and enjoy the fireworks at 9.30pm that signal the end of another great event, thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who help bring it to life each year.
