Cooler weather meant the triathletes could excel in the run and swim legs, while conditions in the Shoalhaven River were good for the swim leg.
The race course was described as fast and flat, with a picturesque bike leg heading out along the rich river flat country and returning to run across the river over Nowra’s famous bridge.
Triathletes took part in the standard, sprint and super sprint events.
The event was a good lead up for the Big Husky Triathlon festival from February 22 to 24

This year’s festival also features a new event – the popular classic distance triathlon.
