A high tea at the Nowra School of Arts will kick-start the festivities on March 2, with a meditation session, writer’s night, art exhibition and more to follow.
The high tea will kick-off at 2pm and will feature comedian Kiki.
Kiki is the brainchild and alter ego of entertainer Tamara Campbell. Kiki (and Tamara) have performed for 19 years across 27 countries in six different languages to over a million audience members.
Bookings for the high tea are essential for catering. Tickets can be bought from Shoalhaven Women’s Health Centre or by emailing swhc@swhc.org.au or calling 4421 0730. Tickets are $15 and everyone is welcome.
A women’s performance night will wrap-up the celebrations on March 30.
The performance night has been running for many years and encourages all women to share their unique talents.
“We’ve had anything from highland pipes to Spanish dancing, we’ve got clog dancing and cabaret style dances,” organiser Moira Lawry said.
“This year is about doing it differently, it’s about the undiscovered, we want women to come forward, put themselves out there and have a go.
“I’ve been watching this happen over the years and from small beginnings women have got their confidence and gone out and done their own thing.”
This year’s event will have a focus on letting young women shine.

“We’re really encouraging the youth this year, especially if they’re first timers,” organiser Moira Lawry said.
There will be some unique events to light up the stage.
“There will be some old favourites in the way of dances but we also want to have a balance,” Ms Lawry said.
“We’ll have a couple of young girls who do karate which will be great.”
The performance night will run for around two hours and will include a women’s choir and a dance segment.
