Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group rides this week include Thursday’s midweek mountain bike ride starting at 8am at the Worrigee bus shelter just before the entrance to the crematorium. We will be cycling to Comerong Island via Brundee Swamp nature reserve, Mayfield Road, Jindy Andy Lane and the stock route off Smiths Lane to the punt. We will be stopping for a beach swim and returning the same way. This ride is only suitable for mountain bikes. Bring swimmers, insect repellent, sunscreen, snacks and plenty of water. On Sunday, January 20, the ride will be Woolamia to Vincentia and return over 30km. It will be moderate pace and medium difficulty using off-road cyclepaths, sealed and unsealed roads and bush tracks. Mountain bike required.
The ride will start at 9am from the Falls Creek Fire Station in Jervis Bay Road, 1.3km east of the Princes Highway and travel through the Woollamia Nature Reserve and Jervis Bay National Park to reach Vincentia for a coffee break.
