The folk, indie outfit Luluc, which features Zoe Randell and Steve Hassett, will take to the stage at Milton Theatre on Sunday, January 27.
The accomplished singer-songwriters have just finished their American headline tour for third album Sculptor and have returned to Australia for a seven-stop tour.
Luluc plays in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane as well as two regional stops in Castlemaine, Victoria and Milton.
Ms Randell, who hasn’t played in Milton before, said she was excited about playing in a regional centre.
“I’m from the country, I grew up in the country, so I like adding those dates in when we can,” Ms Randell said.
“This is the first-time so I’m pretty excited.”
Ms Randell said touring their latest album had been well-received and concertgoers would still hear their “core sound” as it had not changed from their first album Dear Halyn (2008) or second album Passerby (2014).
Ms Randell said the pair love working with melodies and harmonies in their music.
“We’ve kind of added layers and more diverse production as we’ve gone along, just what the songs have asked for. That’s our artistic approach,” she said.
“We’re both really into signing, love vocals, that’s a big feature of the show I guess. Steve is an amazing harmonist.
“I’m really interested in songwriting and kind of creating, worlds, universes in songs that transports you there.”
Following Milton, Luluc flys to England, for their first European-UK headline tour. Tickets $30, show from 8pm to 10.30pm.
