Our hearts go out to the Erowal Bay couple whose late son’s boat Aussie Blue – a vessel of great sentimental value – was stolen from their locked shed when they were away. We urge everyone to keep an eye for it and notify police if they see it.

There was a positive outcome after a theft at a Sanctuary Point caravan was captured on CCTV and publicised on social media and most of the stolen items returned.
On Thursday a man faced charges relating to an alleged carjacking in Nowra in the early hours of the same morning.
A long way from Nowra maybe but involving a helicopter from HMAS Albatross was another huge Middle East drug bust. Drug smuggling season is on again and this seizure netted more than 900 kilograms of heroin.
And someone is doing the wrong thing out at Culburra Beach, poisoning banksias on the dune. It has former mayor Jo Gash incensed because it’s at the front of her waterfront property and it’s not the first time it’s happened.
