This holiday season there’s plenty to do for locals who want to explore their own backyard, and visitors alike.
Huskisson Carnival, now to January 27. On Sunday, the carnival hosts its charity day. Funds from all wristbands sold from 10am-2pm will be donated to the Jervis Bay Lions Club. Unlimited ride armbands cost $15.
Seth Sentry performs at the Marlin Hotel, Ulladulla, on January 26-27. This summer, the Marlin has attracted some incredible acts. “Polish Club played, then Thundamentals, that was off its chops,” Shoalhaven Mayor Amanda Findley said.
Bushwalking. Mayor Findley strongly recommends the Merry Beach to Snake Bay walk – a three-hour return trip.
Kid’s Day Out Race Day at Shoalhaven Turf Club on Monday. From 2pm there will be jumping castles, a magician, miniature train rides, a Shoalhaven Zoo Show and an animal nursery.
Nowra Triathlon, January 19. For those new to the sport, try the super sprint distance. It involves a 200m swim, 7.5km bike leg and 2km run.
