Residents have been advised water may be aerated or a milky colour once the break has been repaired, due to a rapid increase in water pressure.
This has no effect on water quality and it will dissipate over a short period of time.
EARLIER: Water supplies in Currarong may be disrupted today, after a major water main suffered a break this morning.
At 7am this morning, Tuesday, January 8, Shoalhaven City Council said supplies could be disrupted for the next four to six hours.
Shoalhaven Water has advised customers in the township to limit water use while repairs are under way. The disruption will result in lower water pressures as available supplies reduce the reservoir storage at Currarong.
Shoalhaven Water apologised for the inconvenience as crews work to restore supply. A further update will be provided shortly, but customers can call Shoalhaven Water on 0422803013 for further information.
