Tennis courts at Shoalhaven Heads as well as the Ison Park football fields at South Nowra were announced as one of four success applicants recently by Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis.
The tennis courts, nominated by the Shoalhaven Heads Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, will receive $20,000 to help rebuild their facilities while the Shoalhaven District Football Association has been granted $80,279 for an upgrade to field four and five.
On top of the two Shoalhaven successful applications, the Eurobodalla Shire Council will see its Gundary Oval District Sports Park and Moruya Tennis Club receive $200,000 and $20,000 respectively.
“I have previously worked with the Moruya Tennis Club to secure funding and I have worked closely with all of these organisations,” Sudmalis said.
“I am proud of the Coalition Government’s investment into grassroots sports.
“This Grants program was heavily oversubscribed and the quality of the applications was excellent.
“Given this, I am expecting to announce another round of funding for this grants program in the near future.”
