There are occasions when I swell with pride with the advocacy we do on behalf of our community. The result our coverage helped secure for long-suffering residents in southern Berry in one of them. Having endured terrible traffic noise for a couple of years as a result of highway improvements, residents have been told they will get a $5.3 million sound wall, which should make life much more bearable.

The Canberra bushwalkers who were the subject of an intense search west of Nowra were rescued on Friday afternoon.
Locals high school students received their HSC results and ATARs this week. Congratulations to all of them for completing this important chapter in their young lives.
Meanwhile, highway work between Berry and Bomaderry is proceeding at a rapid clip. The owners of Silos, while set for some disruption, are looking forward to seeing a much safer entry on to the property constructed.
And finally, local Liberals have endorsed Grant Schultz as their candidate in the upcoming federal election. Let’s hope we see some vigorous campaigning and rock solid commitments to the region.
