THE incredible season of the sand of Mollymook SLSC’s Sam Zustovich, Brock Scrivener and Kate Lewis has continued, with all three medalling at the weekend’s NSW Interbranch Championships.

The trio, who were all representing the South Coast Branch at Black Head Beach, helped their team finish seventh in the overall standings, behind eventual champions Sydney Northern Beaches.
Once again, Sam Zustovich was a standout, claiming two gold medals.
His first came in the youth male beach sprint, where he edged out Coogee’s Asher Wilson and Cooks Hill’s Fletcher Myers for the title.
Zustovich then carried his world champion beach flags form into the youth male event – where he claimed another flags gold medal from Helenburgh’s Jack Bridges and Batemans Bay’s Geordie Kemp.
Brock Scrivener also added two medals to his personal collection, claiming one silver and one bronze.
His silver came in the open male beach flags, behind Merewether product Kieran Gordon after he claimed bronze in the open male beach sprint – again finishing behind Gordon and Coogee’s Michael Kember.
Finally, Kate Lewis made sure it was a meet to remember for Mollymook, taking home the open female beach flags bronze medal, behind North Cronulla duo Alexandra Rampoldi and Leah Rampoldi.
Other South Coast products to compete at the weekend were Mollymook’s Danielle Holt, who finished eighth in the youth female ironperson and 10th in the youth female board race, and Nowra-Culburra product Holly Abbey (who now competes with Coogee) claimed sixth in the youth female beach sprint.
