TWO of Shoalhaven’s top cricket prodigies will headline the Greater Illawarra Zone under 16s side, when they contest the Bradman Cup in Albury next month.

Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens’ Luke Jones and Batemans Bay’s Ryan Hall have been named in the 14-player squad, which will be coached by North Nowra-Cambewarra product Philip Wells.
Joining the Shoalhaven pair in the squad will Illawarra’s Sam Dobson, who has been named captain, Jayden Zahra-Smith, Matt Garnero, Daniel Wark, Jamie Phillipson, Connor Gray and Andy Magennis.
Rounding out out the squad are South Coast quartet Blake Smith (vice-captain), Jack McDonald, Liam Mackrell and Cade Hotham and Highlands’ Zac de Hosson.
Wells will be joined on the coaching staff by Illawarra’s Dave Smith (manager) and South Coasts’ Nardene Hotham (scorer).
Greater Illawarra Zone will open their tournament against ACT Southern Districts at Bunton Oval on January 7, followed by matches against Central Northern (January 8 at Urana Road Oval), Newcastle (January 9 at Birallee Park), North Coastal (January 9 at Kelly Park) and Riverina (January 10 at Lavington Sports Ground).
