Shaun Michael Roberts of Airds, in western Sydney, appeared in Nowra Local Court on November 6 after he breached parole, allegedly leading police on a pursuit on Wednesday, December 5. 

He was arrested at Albatross Road, Nowra, late Wednesday afternoon and charged with 12 offences relating to three separate carjacking incidents at Figtree, Wollongong and at South Nowra. 

The charges included assault with intent to rob armed with an offensive weapon, robbery armed with an offensive weapon, unlawfully take/drive motor vehicle with person in it, intentionally drop object on vehicle and risk safety, use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, detain person with intent to obtain advantage. 

Court papers revealed that at the time of the offence, Roberts was on parole after serving a jail sentence for robbery armed with a dangerous weapon. 

Roberts will remain in custody until his next court appearance on January 21, 2019.
