With second spot wrapped up the side could have been forgiven for complacency as there was little to be gained, win or lose.
However what the boys delivered was anything but and they finished the season on a high, which was a fair indication of the effort and results over the last eight rounds.
It was excellent to see the team learn from the defeat of last week and turn the mistakes in to lessons.
Losing the toss and fielding first the Shoalhaven boys were brilliant.
Illawarra Blue were restricted to just 6/91 from their 40 overs.
Every bowler, bowled with great control and accuracy and was backed up by a fantastic team fielding effort.
Riley Sims returned the very economical 2 for 7 from 6 overs.
Other wicket takers included Cooper Bramley (1 for 8 off 5), Max Carr-McCarron (1 for 10 off 6overs), Tim Hopkins (1 for 5 off 4overs) and Lachlan Almond (1 for 10 off 3 overs).
In reply Shoalhaven made short work of the total completing the 7 wicket win from just 20.4 overs.
Tom Fletcher again was outstanding with the bat making 29 not out from 16 with 6 boundaries.
Christian Page made another solid contribution with 26 from 43 at the top of the order and Mr Reliable Paddy Higgins made 24 not out to ensure the win.
Both coaches were extremely proud of the effort the boys have put in over the competition, not only with the results but the on field behaviour, which saw the umpires congratulating the coaches on numerous occasions.
Leading run scorers for the season were Tom Fletcher who made 212 runs from just 4 innings, at an average of 212 an amazing effort.
Christian Page made 125 at 31.25 and Patrick Higgins who made 110 at 36.67.
Leading wicket takers were Riley Sims who took 12 wickets at an average of 12.58.
Mitch Downey 10 wickets at 12.10 and Max Carr-McCarron 10 wickets at 14.00.
It was a wonderful season with some outstanding team and individual results.
The boys were very capably captained by Christian Page and Cooper Bramley.
All the boys should be very proud of their season and the coaches wish them all the very best for their future cricketing endeavours.
